Gum Disease Awareness Month: Loving Your Gums 🌿

This month, we also raise awareness about gum disease.

We'll discuss the signs to watch out for, preventive measures, and the treatments available at St. Peter's Studio Dental Clinic to ensure your gums stay as healthy as your teeth.

This Month's Tip... The Power of Interdental Cleaning:

One of the most effective ways to prevent gum disease is to incorporate interdental cleaning into your daily oral hygiene routine.

While regular brushing cleans the surface of your teeth, it doesn't reach the spaces between them where plaque and bacteria can build up, leading to gum disease.

Using floss or interdental brushes daily can remove plaque from these hard-to-reach areas, significantly reducing your risk of developing gum disease.

Start by gently inserting the floss or interdental brush between your teeth and moving it up and down along the sides of each tooth, including under the gumline. If you're unsure about the correct technique or which products to use, our team at St. Peter's Studio Dental Clinic is here to help. We can demonstrate effective interdental cleaning methods and recommend the best products for your individual needs.

Remember, healthy gums are the foundation of a healthy smile. By taking a few extra minutes each day for interdental cleaning, you're not only preventing gum disease but also protecting your overall oral health.
